The Chain Breaking Ducks

These little critters you see right before you are one of Chain Breaking's creations. Designed by various members of the Chain Breaking room and then used and reused by other members in a number of doodles.

It all started with the Orange Duck, AccountsAerShit's creation, that he spammed in our room until we also started drawing our own Orange Ducks. Some were getting bored on merely using just Orange Duck so others began to created a nemesis; Green Duck. Unfortunately Green Duck didn't survive the test of time and went into obscurity.

And then Pink Duck happened.

To put it in more detail, I started a chain asking doodlers to draw a Pink duck and so they did. MisterDude1337 then got to this chain and drew his own portrayal of Pink Duck. He soon started to draw other colored ducks and eventually other doodlers took notice and started drawing these other ducks themselves.

As we drew more and more doodles of them, traits and personalities started to stick forming a rudimentary "canon" making them more appealing to others and attracted more doodlers to draw them.

Soon other people wanted to get into the duck action and started making their own ducks. If they were lucky enough to get a hold of an unused color to use that is.

What you see here right now is a combination of the original depiction of orange duck (a simplistic a head, an eye and a body) with a hint of MisterDude's "duck style", mainly the cute snouts (or are those beaks?). Our portrayals of them are not limited to these though. Sometimes we anthropomorphize them and give them limbs and the occasional ducky tail. Sometimes we go out there and beyond and make them into anything we wanted. From a simple colored chair with an eye to an Eldridge abomination. Originally these ducks were based on the limited color palettes Doodle or Die provided to the average doodlers. But then we ran out of colors to use so we started using other colors.
